Wow, Pikayou's post makes me think that they were devious enough to send out letters based on where in the country they were headed....i.e. west coast earlier, so we'd all get our notifications by Monday/Tuesday??

I would love to go to Stanford! Harvard is awesome, but so far away from my family that I might not go....I have no idea where I will end up. It'll be a last minute decision!

Does anyone have any idea if HMS has a 2nd look weekend....or do they kinda make you do that on your own. I know it IS HMS but still...that doesnt mean its the right choice for everyone and I think a 2nd look would be really helpful... Anyone know? Muchas gracias.

Congrats somekevinguy! I called the admissions office yesterday to ask about the revisit weekend. They do have one, and it will probably be at the end of April (more info is going to be sent to us, apparently). I'm with you, I really want to check out a PBL session before I make up my mind for sure (and before I choose Boston over sunny California!) 😎
Got a thin letter today telling me that I'm on the NP waitlist. It was postmarked March 8th.
Kind of depressing. I was so anxious waiting for this decision and now they are asking me to wait even more. I don't know if I can keep worrying about this through summer. Furthermore, I wonder if I would feel like a second-class citizen if I actually did get in off the waitlist.
Anyway, congrat's to those who got in and best of luck to those waiting to hear from other places!

Rompy, definitely *don't* feel like a second-class citizen if you are accepted off the waitlist. I have been on a few waitlists in my life and have always been excited to be taken off. During my Harvard interview, my interviewer made it a point to stress that Harvard is one place where the 'more qualified applicants than spaces' cliche is actually completely true. There is certainly a degree of randomness in who is accepted, and you are no less qualified than the people who got in. Good luck!

You could feel this way after you got accepted or you could say to yourself - I am going to be a student at Harvard Medical School, one of the best medical schools in the country! Why get miserable over something so wonderful (potentially)?

A friend of a friend got into Harvard for the upcoming medical school class as well.
This guy's name is Ricky and he goes to South Florida in Tampa right now, which is where I go to school. His stats are 39 on his MCAT and a 3.9-4.0 GPA from what I understand.
He does research with Shriner's Hospital for children with orthopedic problems and severe burns.

I met Ricky at JHU. Did he get into there. We were talking about USF's up and coming football team, which, this season, wasn't so up and coming.
