Has Anyone Been Outright Rejected Pre-Interview From UPenn?

I just checked my app. status and it said that they have deferred an interview for my app. and will review my app again later to determine if I receive an interview. Does everyone get this before a rejection down the road? I know it is not promising at all, but does this mean there is even a slight possibility of an interview there? Advice would be appreciated.
