I found out yesterday that I missed the interview that they had scheduled for me on Dec 18th. Apparently 1) they don't call you, 2) they don't email you, and 3) they don't send you a letter inviting you to an interview. They only put the notice up on the status page.
I was complete on Nov 11th and when I called for a status check back then they made a big deal about how they were so far behind and it would be at least 4-6 weeks before I would hear something. Well apparently they processed my application quickly and posted my invite on their site without any other notification.
I do feel like an idiot for not checking, but I felt I was covered because for the prior 3-4 notices I had automatically received an email telling me that my status had changed and to check the status page (I also have my bulk email filter turned OFF, so I receive ALL emails). They also have a big disclaimer at the bottom of the invite that says that you can't re-schedule if you miss the first interview latte da.
The guy was nice when I called and said I could re-schedule, but I am a little afraid that this will hurt me in two ways. 1) I will now interview in February instead of December and 2) In their eyes I either don't care or don't have it together.
Anyone else had a similar experience?
