I found out yesterday that I missed the interview that they had scheduled for me on Dec 18th. Apparently 1) they don't call you, 2) they don't email you, and 3) they don't send you a letter inviting you to an interview. They only put the notice up on the status page.

I was complete on Nov 11th and when I called for a status check back then they made a big deal about how they were so far behind and it would be at least 4-6 weeks before I would hear something. Well apparently they processed my application quickly and posted my invite on their site without any other notification.

I do feel like an idiot for not checking, but I felt I was covered because for the prior 3-4 notices I had automatically received an email telling me that my status had changed and to check the status page (I also have my bulk email filter turned OFF, so I receive ALL emails). They also have a big disclaimer at the bottom of the invite that says that you can't re-schedule if you miss the first interview latte da.

The guy was nice when I called and said I could re-schedule, but I am a little afraid that this will hurt me in two ways. 1) I will now interview in February instead of December and 2) In their eyes I either don't care or don't have it together.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

I received an email that said my status had been updated when I was invited for an interview. Possibly check the website to see if they have the correct email contact for you. Also, check to see if you have your spam filter turned off. When I was at my interview the Dean of Admissions commented on how many people do not respond to interview invites because of email spam filters.

Sorry to hear that you missed your interview date. Have you called to see if you can schedule another one?

Oops... nevermind my post... I suppose I should read the full length of your post next time I reply. 🙄

You would think she would make some changes on how they notify people by now, considering they know filters have a way of filtering out their emails. Geez, some things never change.🙄
