Has anyone gotten shadowing during covid?

Many hospitals are still not even letting patients see 1 single family member in clinics. Take what you want from that in regards to physicians letting random students walk around clinic with them. Maybe if you're in a low-populated county in the U.S., lol.

Clinical employment = paid shadowing so yes

Without a clinical job, all shadowing opportunities have dried up where I live.

If you've previously shadowed with a physician running their own practice, returning there is probably your best bet. I luckily finished shadowed right before the widespread lockdowns earlier this year. I'd like to shadow some specialists but at least I was able to spend a lot of time with some great primary care physicians.

Yes, back in July I shadowed an ENT DO.

That said, this was back in July, not now.
 
I was able to land shadowing by reaching out to a family medicine physician with an independent "hole in the wall" practice. Since she was not affiliated with a hospital, this cut out the challenges of dealing with big-hospital bureaucracy and visitor restrictions (granted, not sure how many specialists you can find this way though).
