Red Bull is so much better than Monster imo. But one of my friends says Red Bull tastes like a candle and I kinda get what he’s saying...

Yeh.. they definitely have that kind of taste but still great hehe

My friend makes cocktail with Red Bull and vodka. I blame him for getting me into Red Bull.

Just saying,

I’m typing this rn while studying for anatomy + drinking a iced mocha macchiato from Starbucks 🙂 with coconut milk

I started drinking coffee as a teenager because my friends were starting to drink coffee and I wanted to fit in.

I'm nothing short of an addict now. I get bad headaches if I don't have enough caffeinated beverages.

I carry a big purse at least partially because I can stash Diet Coke in it.

If your friends started jumping off bridges, would you do that too?

I'm not a coffee drinker and the only time caffeine seems to have any effect on me is if I get a coffee from some high-end coffee shop. The watery stuff from the chain places or convenience store doesn't taste good and is not strong enough to do anything.

I never used caffeine in undergrad. Save for maybe one or two classes you can study hard a few days before an exam and still get an A on it. I made sure I enjoyed myself during undergrad while still taking care of business.

Med school is different. I have a study and sleep schedule that I stick to. I tried coffee but it's still not my thing. Red Bull didn't work for me either. With my sleep schedule, I don't find myself getting tired during the day. Sleep is key if you're always feeling tired.

I made it through a math major and premed while simultaneously raising 2 rambunctious boys coffee free. I relied on mushrooms like lion’s mane and cordyceps and other natural nootropics.

You probably would have liked 4 lokos back when they were made with caffiene.

I’m currently visiting my uncle who is a third year resident. He hates coffee. I’m not sure how he has made it this far.

Putting this out there to see if anyone else is the same. I drink plenty of coffee just because I like it but it does absolutely nothing to me, doesn’t keep me awake or give me jitters. Only thing it can do sometimes is take away my appetite.

Don’t think it’s a tolerance thing because it’s always been this way.

Ditto

I usually drink about 3 cups of black coffee a day. I really dislike the taste of sweet or milky coffee. I feel like I can't fully wake up without a cup in the morning, but it doesn't really keep me awake either. I think I'm just desensitized. I could drink a cup at 7 p.m. and have no trouble falling asleep that night.

I actually never drink coffee, except when I'm splurging...I just die through it

Coffee is a laxative for me, so yeah lol I do not drink coffee, and I worked full time + MCAT +Pre-med without it, no other stimulants too. I think it's a thing of if you start it you start relying on it, so I just never did.

That’s exactly how I see caffeine and alcohol.
