has anyone taken the free practice MCAT exams offered by Kaplan?

I'm not sure when I'm going to take my actual MCAT, but should I take this free practice exam anyway?

I haven't study one bit for the MCAT, and I also haven't started my organic sequence

Is it worth it to take it to see my practice score/types of questions/etc?

It's free, so it won't hurt! Just don't count your score as an accurate assessment of how you will do. Without Orgo, your Bio section score will be lower than you'll really perform. It really does take some practice and getting used to the type of questions. You may want to just buy one of the prep books and start looking at the physics/bio/gen chem passages for practice.
