My university has given me the following math credits based on AP scores:
Elementary Calculus 1 (3 credits)
Elementary Calculus 2 (3 credits)
Calculus of a Single Variable (4 credits)

I'm accepting all of those credits and I would strongly prefer not to take any more calculus in college, I will be taking biological statistics though if that makes a difference. I know every school is different but in general will med schools have any issues with this?

I'm not using AP credit for any other pre-reqs BTW

Honestly, I think more schools require stats opposed to calculus, so biostats should cover you for the most part.

Some schools require calculus and/or other math courses. As long as they accept AP scores for pre-reqs, you should be fine.

OP, This is the key to the question of whether you've fulfilled the med school prerequisite for college math. Some schools require that you supplement AP credits with higher level math. You'll need to look up the requirements and policies of schools you'd plan to target so you don't get caught short at application time.

OP, if you do figure out that you need to take more calc, I'd consider manipulating the credits you're accepting so that you can take the easiest most comfortable class. Just some food for thought.

Just to add since many schools do not accept AP credits for prereqs, to be able to apply to the broadest array of medical schools, you need to take math. As someone suggested, stats would be a reasonable choice. Not to do so would limit your choices
Are you saying I need to take more calculus or just more math? I'll be taking bio stats regardless because it's part of my degree

A lot of med schools require a year of college math. Besides Statistics, you might take any other math class. One option would be to retake Calculus and get an easy A. Or you could take Statistics II.

Most schools are accepting AP credits for Math, but require Statistics. my son is planning to skip math. he took AP Calc and IB HL tests.
