I withdrawn from one class due to poor planning and took it again and earned an A. The professor for the class agreed to write a letter of recommendation for me as I took all (3) of her classes. Would it be a good idea for me to suggest to her to write a line or two about that? She doesn't know my background for withdrawal (she teaches 4 classes a semester, from 100-450 students), but says I would do well in med school (she's MD/PHD). Thoughts?

No.

No. Why would you want her to draw attention to the fact that you withdrew from one of her classes?

I didn't know if it was a good idea or not, so I figured I'd ask. I was thinking that if she was writing a letter and I withdrew from one of her classes that she could try to say it was something out of my control and I was able to take the class later and do well. I don't think she knows off the top of her head that I have withdrawn, not that it would change her opinion, but that's probably a good thing. Thanks.

Yeah, no need to bring it up. Having a W isn't even that big of a deal, but there's no need to draw attention to it either.
