Let's share our private/unique PCAT mnemonics! You never know, they may just become the most used mnemonic someday. Please only post mnemonics created by you. (There are too many forum threads for old/used mnemonics already).

"LEO the lion goes GER"

LEO= lose electrons - oxidation
GER= gain electrons- reduction

helps me remember =]

I prefer OIL RIG....Oxidation Is the Loss of electrons, Reduction Is the Gaining of electrons. After o-chem you see exceptions to the leo ger idea. I know they sound the same but trust me.

This is what our anatomy teacher taught us for the Cranial nerves. Only Once One Take The Anatomy Final Very Good Vacations Are Heavenly. Olfactory, Optic, Oculomoter, Trochlear, Trigemenal, Abducen, Facial, Vestobulicoclear, Glossopharyngeal, Vagus, Accessory, Hypoglossal. Yeah its pretty cheesy but it works and was easy to remember for the context of the class.

I had a test on this today! Our book had, "On Occasion Our Trusty Truck Acts Funny - Very Good Vehicle AnyHow."

Lots of good ones for remembering the order of the genetic tree. My bio 1 teacher told us : Do Kinky People Come Out for Good Sex? Domain, kingdom, phylum,class, order family, genus & species.

something my friend came up when studying for a chem test: The Ether group is like someone's cock because it has the basic function group of C-O-C (with two pairs of valence electrons on the O)
