Haven't heard in a while

Hi,

So, I applied to 8 schools and have recieved two interviews which I'm very grateful for, but I have not heard from any of the other schools since the beginning of August. The status for these schools on AADSAS hasn't changed since then either. I'm worried that I might have made a mistake applying to only 8 schools that are pretty competitve. That being said, I'm pretty sure my stats are competitive also (23 AA/22 TS/ 20PAT, 3.96 oGPA). If I were to call them and ask about my status, would they be able to tell me if I was rejected or if they just haven't had a chance to look at it yet? I also know that most schools don't like you calling them about this, so would it hurt my chances? Thanks for the help!

There's no point in calling, schools generally only give application status updates through official channels (e.g. emails or updates to your AADSAS status). Try to stay patient for now, your stats are great and I'm sure more interview offers will come.
