A yea, so i might be one of the few people who haven't submitted their app yet, but since i'm taking the aug. mcat, i feel like there's no point. Does anyone else see it that way, or is that just me??

Well, since most of them wont look at your ap till you get your scores, there's no real difference between submitting right now vs. submitting after your August exam, as long as your ap can be completed before October 15th.

Thanks! That's what i thought 😳

maybe you could send your transcripts a bit early so as to avoid any pesky delays?

the less stress around the time of your MCAT (aka having a finalized and submitted application), the better you will probably do.

I have to disagree...even though medical schools will not (although some will) invite you for interviews until your august mcat score is in...you guys are forgetting the processing time that amcas may take. Remember that first you send transcripts and they have to actually get there, this process can take a couple of weeks. Then you have to fill out amcas and submit and your application has to be verified this can easily take up to six weeks! so if you submit in october when you get your mcat score you may be looking at december for the schools to even GET your application from amcas. Do it NOW! and then all you have to do is wait for schools to invite you for an interview...guys you are in control of this process a mistake like this (sending stuff in late) is nothing but heartache later...

i agree you should do it now. you never know with AMCAS. they are notorious for screwing things up and delaying your processing. i submitted my app june 2 and it was not processed until mid-july, and this was all because they are idiots.

all of my transcripts have been submitted, i'm just working on my personal statement. Hopefully I'll be done soon.

Is there a way to check if AMCAS get all my transcripts?

They will email you upon receipt.

They should of sent you an email for every transcript they have received...

also after you submit, the welcome page will change and show you which transcripts they have and which ones they don't

I know this might be a stupid question, but:

how do you send out your transcripts to AMCAS first before even filling out the application? Is that even possible? Or, is there some kind of form we have print out and tell our schools to attach when they send it?

Yes. There is a form. You need to fill out the biographic information section before accessing that (or any other) section.

well there's a form that you can get once you open your application. I just downloaded those forms and mailed it to the schools that I wanted a transcript from.
