HI everyone!

I have just recently recieved acceptances from DMU, COMP, and TUCOM, and I am having a hard time deciding on whether or not to send the $2000 dollars into TUCOM. Out of the 3, I liked TUCOM the best. Also, it's location is the best in regards to my significant other, who will be moving with me. He already had a job lined up in the Bay area. But after reading some comments from people about TUCOM, I am having second thoughts.

I also interviewed at PCOM and Penn State (I am a Pennsylvania resident) and I should be hearing from them in a few weeks.

Anyways, the dilemma is whether or not to send the $2000 into TUCOM. I would have to mail it on Monday or Tuesday to ensure that it makes it to California by Friday, October 24th. The only 2 things I find shady about TUCOM is 1) the downpayment and 2) it's a newer school. Aside from that, I really liked it. Are there any TUCOM current students, or future students that can provide me with some advice? I have heard TUCOM doesn't have the best reputation, and I really want to go to a medical school that is going to give me a good education. I want to come out of medical school as a family doctor that KNOWS what they're doing. Also, how are the rotation sites for TUCOM?

It's getting down to the wire, and I would realy appreciate it if some of you could help me out a bit! Thank you! =)

Non-refundable =(

I would not send the $2000. There's a reason they want it upfront... PCOM accepts most PA residents and Penn State is a great school. Save the money and think about CCOM and DMU and best of luck w/ the PA schools.

Check out DMU unless you're a fan of Pomona. Des Moines is a great midwestern town and would be a great place to do your DO work, unless the PA schools come through.

Demosthenes_7: Thanks very much for your input, I will take your suggestions into consideration this weekend when I make my decision.

Save your money. PCOM is a much better school, and you're from PA so that'll help alot. TUCOM has a long way to go, and they're opening a branch campus is Las Vegas, so much of the development at Vallejo might get concentrated over there instead.

Plus, if you get into Pen State, thats a great school. I also interviewed at TUCOM and found it very shady, didn't like the location or the program. But its all about your personal preference I guess. Hope this helps, just my .02.
