Hey guys. What medical schools are considered HBCU? Is there a list of other medical schools that have a high rate of acceptance of minorities other than the HBCU's?

I don't know if there is an official list but there are some schools that are actively trying to up their URM numbers. I was at AMEC this past weekend and spoke with an office of diversity rep from University of Colorado and they have upped their URM rate from 14% (which is where a lot of schools are at) to 33% in just over a few years and they are aiming to go higher. I also know that while the % is low for Indiana University the number of URMs they have is quite high (60 out of 320 or so). You really got to look at the most updated MSAR and even compare it to previous year MSARs to see who is trending upward with URM rates. I think the UMDNJ schools usually have decent levels as well.
