Does any one have any thoughts about headache fellowships and later focussing on headache and facial pain in private practice.

Any thoughts on job outlook, lifestyle, $$$, satisfaction. Other than botox and occip. nerve blocks, any other procedures that they do?

headache in private practice:

most of neurologists I know do not want to see headache pts at all. they wourld love to have someone with special interests in headaches. usually a semi-retired neurologist would do that so you may not need hospital priviledge to practice. income should not be too good or too bad. you should have unlimited volume of pts

I have some off time in my PGY-2 year for this hour so I figure I would head on back to my old forum.

I am actually interested in headache as a sub-specialty. I love seeing patients in the clinic regarding headaches (usually cause they have a normal exam, hehe) and I am not a big hospital fan because of the call. And since headache is the most common neurologic symptom in general I feel I can better service the community this way.
