Health Administration to MD

Is anyone going from a career in healthcare administration to medicine? I worked as a medical office manager for 4 years and now I'm applying for 2008. One of the strange things is that I was turned off by a lot of the bureaucratic, political, and monotonous work that is administration; but I feel I wouldn't mind dealing with some of it if that weren't the focus of the job. Also, after seeing all the downsides and practicalities of being a physician in these times, I feel I'm a little crazy for wanting to go into medicine.

Just looking to see if others share these thoughts or have any words of wisdom to impart!
