See if your school offers insurance. If they do it is probably at a steep discount. If now, they might have a discount clinic or something. If not, suck it up and get a job that offers insurance.
School insurance is usually a good deal (ask around). Other options are going with your own plan, like blue cross. I know of people that even use their state sponsored programs which give free/low-cost insurance for those with low incomes. Don't know how ethical that is, but technically I guess most students are without income.
You could work 15 hours a week at UPS. Full medical, dental, vision. No deductibles. No premiums. You won't find a better deal, as long as you could make the hours work, which most of the time they work great around school.
