Just FYI for people waiting :
The way MSUCOM does admissions... Once you are complete, they "score" your application with a weighted number. 60% of that number is academics, 40% is volunteer/extra/LOR. How they actually come to this number they don't say. Based on this number, they rank you. Every Wednesday, they take the top 20% of scores and evaluate them in committee meeting. At this time they (the 10-12 people in the adcom) vote. You are either offered admission right away, offered interview, waitlisted or denied admission. So some very strong applicants may hear a week after they are complete, whereas some weaker applicants might be finished in September and not be at the 20% to be evaluated until maybe December. They like to have 90% of the class picked by December 15 too.
If I am a little off in any of this sorry, but this is what I remember from my meeting with the head of the adcom in July and asking 900,000 questions.
Anyways, hope this helps people a bit in wondering how long it will be till they review you. I think that offers go out on a rolling basis on Wednesday, the week I got my acceptance I got it at noon.
Good luck to all waiting!!! It's a great school and the adcom is really great about looking at everything about you (hence 40% is not academic!)
