50 grams of water, at 85 Celsius, were passed through one side of a two compartment heat exchange, and 65 g of water, at 30 Celsius, were passed through the other. If both steams come out at 50 celsius, the amount of heat lost and gained, respectively would be?

how would figure out this question? Can you explain? thanks!

There are 50 g at 85 degrees cooling down to 50 degrees, with a net loss of 35 degrees. Total loss of heat 35 x 50 = 1650

There are 65 g at 30 degrees warming to 50 degrees, with a gain of 20 degrees.
Total gain of heat 65 x 20=1300
