Hi All,

I remember I got a "D" in my undergrad Organic Chem II course, and I have been out of college for a while already. My undergrad GPA was roughly 3.5, and I had a B.S. in Chemistry.

I also have a master degree in health administration, and my GPA was 3.7.

Should I retake the Organic Chem II? 😕

I know some of the Cali schools require "c" and higher in all those prerequisites.

What should I do? I need advice please

Jimmy

You'll have to retake. Most dental schools don't accept anything less than a C (or C-). Just find a cheap Junior college and take it by itself. Good luck!

With your degrees, you should be able to figure that one out.

do most dental schools accept courses from community college?

or do I have to take it in the regular colleges?

Thanks a lot!

Its a pre rec course.... Thrrefore you HAVE to retake it.
Your best bet is to take it at a 4 yr accre. university and not a cc.
Taking pre rec courses at a cc doesnt look too good on your application.

Since you have a chemistry degree, where you take the course may be moot, however, you certainly should recognize that not all org chem courses are created equal and it is not exactly the sort of course you should be taking at a CC.
