hello everybody....its monday night in Los Angeles, CA and I am still getting over my hangover from last night....I have dilemma in my head and I need as much advice as I can get...the question is.....If you are PA with bachelors degree and want to go for MedSchool...is it still four years and is bachelors in PA studies enough to get into Medschool prerequisite wise??? or do i have to take more classes..how does it work...????????? thanks :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

depends if your bs included :
1 yr of bio with lab
1 yr of gen. chem with lab
1 yr of o-chem with lab
1 yr of physics with lab

those are the prereqs for most medschools(md and do). some want biochem and/or stats and/or calc.
if you have them you're golden, if not you need them.
you still need to spend 4 yrs to get the md/do unless you go to a few disreputable programs in the carribean that will give advanced standing to pa's.

yes, and don't forget folks, if you're interested in medicine, there are a plethora of forums to ask more specific questions and get more specific answers (hopefully).

I see a lot of therapists/PAs/etc asking how to become a doctor, and it's probably better to ask the doctors, or those going through the process that question.
