So i have an interview next month at midwestern....can anyone tell me how the interview process was like? and how competitive the program is...

i have a 3.2 gpa... upper division classes i have a 3.69gpa...i have well over 200 hours of observation and i am an NCAA athlete...

WILL THAT BE GOOD ENOUGH?

i also applied to nyu and didnt here from them yet...

thanks guys

Hi, I just applied to midwestern. Can you tell me what your interview was like?

yea the interview was a blind side interview!! basically that means they dont know any of ur stats and it kindda screwed me over because i flew in from chicago and ended up being wait-listed because they said my interview was awesome but my GPA was low...unless u have a 3.4 or higher the interview is a waste of time and money because EVERY SCHOOl including midwestern cares about ur stats!! they literally invite everyone to interview!! then look at stats... bull **** if u ask me....but the interview was really laid back...the questions were really simple and common .. BUT good luck to u hope u do well!!

Wow, thank you for that info. I'm from Michigan and applied to the Glendale AZ campus so I'll have to book a flight for the interview too. So, if I may ask, did you get into a program and are you in OT school now?

at preOTkid....

why did you pick those 2 schools.

Did you interview w/ the athletics departments? If a coach wants you in .. you will be admitted. He won't tell you that, but that's the way it works.

yea no prob..... and i applied to those two schools and nyu because they didnt require the GRE.....i didnt get into nyu....BUT i just took the GRE 3months ago and applied to 6 other schools....i have an interview for one of them...and didnt hear back from the others yet....

and SUPERCOTA....i just graduated in 2010 wit my BS and i WAS an NCAA D-1 Athlete (tennis woo)... i dont know what u r really asking (sorry i am confused) lol..... grad school and med schools do not have athletic departments and if they do you can NOT play a sport and be in the program because ur only allowed to play for 4 years and it would be ridiculously hard to manage the time cuz u would be traveling so much!!

Hey PreOTkid,
Last year when you submitted your app to midwestern, how long did it take them to tell you that you were invited for an interview? Is it usually 1-2 weeks?

Thx!

PreOT - Thanks again for the info. Very helpful!
good luck in your interview!!
