I'm applying for dental school this summer and I really wanted to submit my applications at the earliest possibly date.

I understand that dental schools won't really look at applications until approximately June 20th-ish (based on a thread I read) and also won't look at your application until everything has been submitted, including DAT scores. I have an understanding from previous threads that when you take your DAT, it takes a few weeks for AADSAS to receive your scores from Prometric. Can someone confirm this?

When do you suggest I take my DAT if I want to optimize my study time BUT be early enough so that my application be viewed by schools?

Thanks!!! 🙂

no one can answer this, except for you. Normally, people recommend studying full-time for 1-3months before the exam. The earlier you take it the better, but at the same time the higher the score (hopefully directly related to the amount of time you study) the better. Have you already started studying for the DATs? Did you do well on your pre-req classes? The answer to these questions may determine "how much" you actually have to study.

I've been studying a LOT. But I guess I really want to optimize the last bit of time before taking the exam.

Sooo, I guess what I was really trying to ask was:

How much a delay there was for the DAT scores to be submitted to AADSAS
How long it takes AADSAS to send to dental schools
When will dental schools even start reviewing applications
