help!! IPPE and getting intern license in Texas

I'm in my first year of pharmacy school in PA right now, and our IPPE's are coming up in June-August this year. I want to do my IPPE's in Texas, but they require completion of 1 year of school for an intern license.
My first year will be completed in May...which doesn't give me much time to get my license by June.

Is there anyone that has experience with getting their intern license in Texas, or knows of anyone that was able to get their license in time? I've contacted the TX-SBOP but haven't heard back from them yet...

Turn around time for me to get my TX Intern license was about 1 1/2 weeks...granted I called them and explained I needed it quickly. The hospital I did one of my P4 rotations at initially said I could just work under the preceptor/school's license, but changed their mind at the last minute. So the Board was very accomodating...just explain your situation and have all of your paperwork ready to be filled out so that you can get it to them asap.

It's taking much longer to get my RPh license reciprocated to them though...

Sounds about right. Then you will pass the MPJE, and promptly be asked for $250 more for the piece of paper.

Offhand, how many of the 1500 hours required for license in Texas are paid or unpaid? Just curious, as I have a friend in school that will work in Texas when they graduate.

The licensing process in Texas is a joke. It costs a bunch and takes forever.

All I had to do was send in FBI fingerprints and the fees, paperwork from school, etc. Got my license in three weeks.

I'll call them on Monday. I live outside of Texas so I hope they will let me do my fingerprints in my state.
