Try the journal Neurosurgical Focus. It is not the best neurosurgery journal, but access is free.

A search for "brainstem gliomas" brings up many results. Assuming your school has access to more journals, just go to pubmed and do a search. The Journal of Neurosurgery and Neurosurgery are two journals worth browsing.
