Hm....
I thought the answer was A.
The reason why I said this was because of the external oblique ridge on the facial side of Mand 1st molar.

d. maxillary palatal

in the other situations the elastic tissue ie mucosa can accomodate for the excess tissue ( the mucogingival junction will be displaced apically in the area of the flap which is ok) while the palate has onlu keratinized non elastic mucosa, if u perform an apically displaced flap u will end up with a fold of mucosa at the base of the flap )

Thank to all of you , my answer was also maxillary palatal but i wanted to confirm it.

Q: A survey of the master cast show that the 3.5 and 3.7 abuments for a fixed partial denture have different paths of insertion with respest to 3.7. A semi-precision attachment is choosen rather than preparing the teeth again. Where should the male part of the attachment ideally to be located?

A: Disatl of the 3.5 retainer
B: Distal of the 3.6 potic
C: Mesial of the 3.7 retainer
D: Mesial of the 3.6 pontic

Please note that this is canadian numbering system, and if you know the answer can you explain also why choose that answer. I,ll really appreciate it.
Thanks
