Wrong... the first answer is Golgi. Question #61 in anatomic sciences from the released 1985 test as part of packet I-G.

NO...Pro-collagen is formed in RER..... form hydoxylation and glycosalysation of pro alpha collagen ....then it shifted to golgibodies where they packed into secretory vesicles for exocytosis

Plus the question asks about polymerization of amino acids (i.e. translation) which requires ribosomal machinerey not present in the Golgi.
