HI,there are different descriptions about lingual height of contour in kaplan book, dental decks and released papers? I am confused! anyone could please tell me the right answer for lingual HOC of all teeth for nbde part1?😕

but I remember there is a question in the released paper about the lingual HOC of permanent mandibular second premolar , the answer is in the incisal third .😕 still confusing about other exceptions? thanks!

Stickto, you already asked this exact same question in a previous post. I'll give you the same answer I posted in your first thread.

Quoting from my Dental Anatomy professors board review notes. "Anterior teeth have lingual heights contour in the cervical third of the crown. Posterior teeth have lingual heights contour in the middle third of the crown EXCEPT for the mandibular second pre-molar (which has a lingual height of contour in the occlusal third)."

Maybe I should make a quick disclaimer. My professor states that LHOC is probably more in the middle third if you look at the tooth, but for board examinations, their answer is in the occlusal third. Take it with a grain of salt. Good luck to you all. 🙂

Oh. I didn't understand what you were trying to ask. Those are the only two possibilities for LHOC. Either the man 2nd PM LHOC is in the middle or occlusal third.
