Help...I don't know which state of residence to put on my AMCAS. Ok, here's my case:

I just moved to Virginia from Michigan in late April. Had been living in MI for 5 years (4 years of college + 1 year of part-time work) since I got my green card. Both of my parents are NOT living in US. My closest relative, my uncle, lives in NY, but he's not my guardian. I'm not working right now, but will *hopefully* get a job next month in VA.

So...is there a state among these three that I can claim as my state of residence???

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all :luck:

Looks to me like Michigan is your current official residence. You normally have to work in your current state for 1 year and pay taxes there to get residency.
