Link to data form: GPA-DAT acceptance metrics !!!

We need more pre-dental applicants to generate a "GPA-DAT" grid similar to the AAMC table of GPA-MCAT to show the desirable GPA/MCAT ranges for allopathic and osteopathic acceptance. We especially want to capture data using the new 3-digit DAT score.

Please fill out the survey after you have received initial offer decisions on December 15. It is straight-to-the-point and focuses on GPA (overall undergrad and BCP GPA), DAT, and experience hours. NOTE: Non-traditional students, enter the data for your undergraduate GPA's as calculated on AADSAS; we know the limitations, but we need to be consistent with the AMCAS/AACOMAS tables.

Share with your predental peers! @DAT Destroyer @dat-tutor

P.S. We also need more predental responses for the Fall 2025 Applicant Experience Survey! So far only ONE pre-dental response has been recorded, as of December 12, 2025 (after 14 days of the open survey). If you want us to better understand the application process, we need more input from predental applicants for both of these efforts.

Thanks for sharing — this will be helpful for applicants navigating the new 3-digit DAT scoring.

We’ll pass this along so students who’ve received decisions can contribute.

Update on the 1st day after Dental Decision Day.

I only have 3 responses.

Come on, everyone! Why keep other predental applicants in the dark about how metrics matter (or not) when it comes to getting accepted to dental school. Share with your peers that were part of the process. It's important that we get this snapshot at the point of first-round acceptances!! Get those folks on the reddit and Bootcamp predental forums to participate (and be honest).

This form is missing a SMP/graduate gpa section. Should I still fill this form out if I did a SMP? My undergrad gpa is low so I think my SMP played a big role in me getting into dental school. Just putting my undergrad gpa would skew the data.

I know, and that is deliberate for this version. You can give an SMP/graduate GPA in the Fall 2025 survey, but the AAMC A-26 grid ONLY uses undergraduate GPA's. I point that the "low GPA outliers" in that grid likely come from people who did an SMP. Anyway, I want to be able to compare apples to apples; a version that I had done as an advisor did not have many data points to convince predental applicants.

This shoudl also account for number of schools student applied to
I request the number of schools in the Fall 2025 Applicant Experience Survey, but for the purposes of the GPA-DAT grid, I'm trying to compare directly to the GPA-MCAT grid that AAMC pushes out, and they don't normalize to the number of schools applied to.

Update: we have 11 responses so far, and almost everyone indicated receiving an offer. Please help us get more responses.

Forms response chart. Question title: Did you receive at least one acceptance for 2026 entry?. Number of responses: 11 responses.

Final update.

First impression: applicants have similar undergrad GPA and DAT metrics, but experience hours for dental and community service are much higher among those with more than one offer.
