I am not exactly sure how AACOM wants us to fit all of our volunteer work into the app with so few words. here is what I wrote up so far...
Dance Marathon Team Member: Raised funds for and participated in a twenty-four hour fundraiser for DeVos Children's Hospital that raised over one hundred thousand dollars. (Spring 2003 and 2004)
Special Projects Chair for Alpha Theta Chi Fraternity: Coordinated day-long community service events for organization members. (Spring 2003 Fall 2004)
Competitive Distance Running Participant: Raised funds for and participated in several charitable road races. (Summer 2002 Present)
CWIT: Supervised a group of volunteers during a day of service at an abused women clinic. (Spring 2003)
Hungary Missions Trip: Was involved in a week of service which included teaching English and Christianity to a group of high school students. (Summer 2005)
Shadowed physicians in a variety of fields: 79 total hours. (Fall 2002 Present)
Independent Undergraduate Research to Jon Peterson, PhD.: Employed analytical methods to evaluate the properties of various antibiotics in stream water. (Fall 2004)
Orientation Assistant: Welcomed the new freshman class and acclimated them to their new surroundings. (Fall 2004)
Member Hope College Republicans: Actively supported the presidential campaign of 2004. (Fall 2004 - Present)
Member Outdoor Adventures Club: Participated in a variety of extracurricular outdoor trips and activities. (Spring 2003 - Present )
Vice President for Alpha Theta Chi Fraternity: Presided over literary meetings as well as co-ordinated the activities of all committees and general administration within the organization. (Spring 2005)
Pine Creek Elementary: Interacted with elementary school children in a semester-long after school program. (Spring 2005)
Camps Farthest Out: Organized and led the College and Career Prayer Group and played an active role on the Council Ring at a summer retreat. (Summers 2002/03/04/05)
I currently have reduced it all to this....
