what does intercondylar distance and steepness of articular eminance have to do with height of cusps and depth of fossa?😕😕😕
and length of the cusp in horizantal overlap?😕

someone please help me

even i dont have very clear concept abt this ..but ll try to share what i understood...

as far as i think intercondylar distance doesnt have influence on cusp height..
--steeper the articular eminence the more the condyles will move inferiorly as it shifts anteriorly.(protrusion)...hence steeper the cusp i.e the height of cusps shud be tall and depth of the fossa shud be more..
--increased horizontal overlap decreases anterior guidance angle, decrease vertical component and flatter posterior teeth

mandibular movements have
1 posterior controlling factors as tmj
2 anterior controlling factors as anterior teeth
---post teeth are present between these two factors and are influenced by variations in them.

nearer the tooth to tmj the more the joint will influence the movement of the tooth..

hope it helps,goodluck

thanks
do you know where I can find a material on this subject?
