On KCOMS 2ndry, they ask to write about what exposure you have had with Osteopathic medicine. Well, I have met with a D.O, but he is a pathologist. I met with him a few times, at the hospital. But, all he does is gross organs all day.... SO I didn't really get much exposure to Osteopathy while shadowing him (other then our conversations). Should I also talk about some of the literature that I have read about Osteopathy?? Thats all I have to work with, so how would I be able to come up with an essay with decent substance based on what I have?

Thats fine-talk about meeting with this DO twice, emphasize what you have read osteopathic philosophy and say what you liked about it. Mention that you are continuing to learn-ie, try and observe some OMT, but its not necessary. The important thing is that you do have some exposure to DOs-which you have. In between now and the interview, read "the DO's" by Gevitz, and try and get a some more exposure so you can elaborate in your interview :luck:

get a some more exposure

This is a good thing. At my first interview (at NSU), I was asked to give a brief history of osteopathic medicine beginning with its origination thru current issues the profession faces.
