Ive been making a school list for possible schools to apply to next summer. To make my list, I used the spreadsheet that was posted on here last year i believe. I focused on the schools that had admitted anomalies with low gpas. My cgpa and sgpa are going to be between 2.5-2.65. DAT is 21 AA/TS

Now, I know I'm not going to get in next year probably. I am also going to be beginning a DIY postbacc next fall to improve and apply again summer 2020. I still want to apply next year with these stats and see if I can possibly be one of the anomalies that get in. That said my list is:

Western U
Nova (florida)
Tufts
Boston U
Mississippi
East carolina
Rutgers
Ut San Antonio (tx resident, I know this is 99% a waste, but i speak with the dean from time to time and he said give it a try--he didn't guarantee anything)
Roseman.

*Again. I know these stats are not good, I know the work I have ahead of me. I am just looking for thoughts on this list given my situation, and If there are any schools I could add, or that I should take off. Any other advice is welcome as well if you feel the need. Cheers!

I'd take off East Carolina (ECU) and Rutgers as they very heavily favor in state applicants (OOS acceptances are to those with high stats). Because your GPAs are low, I'd have the majority of your schools be private schools, since they tend to be a little more forgiving on stats/a little less competitive. Maybe add LECOM, MWU AZ, USC and NYU, and other privates to get to about 10-13 schools. I don't know anything about Mississippi, but if it's a public school, then I'd be wary of applying (but you never know, you could have a shot!). I hope you get in next cycle :) Good luck!

Yes, ECU ONLY accepts North Carolina residents. They do not accept any out of state students.

I would take off Mississippi because they are very, very OOS unfriendly ('Generally and over time, percentage of first-year enrollment that is in-state: 100%' - Dental School Directory). Also, look into UNLV. Good luck!
