Okayyy so I'm going to be applying to MPH programs for Fall 2010 ... I have written the MCATs and got a 29 (one of the reasons for my rejections from med school, the other being my lack of sureness with what I wanted to do) anyway, I haven't written the GREs yet, since I thought that MCATs were enough for most schools ... but turns out some of the better ones in the states require the GREs ... so when should I write them?? Will I even have a chance to write them, since application deadlines are coming up soon (I am an international student from Canada)

Help, thanks!

Also, anyone know the job prospects for an MPH? Are there grads here that have jobs straight out of graduation?

Is english your first language? You keep saying "written" test, which doesn't make any sense, unless you are writing tests. You need to "take" the gre. What field of public health interests you?

Good news is that they offer the GRE all the time, so you can write it pretty much whenever. Many of the deadlines are Nov/Dec/Jan/Feb...so just write it sometime early this Fall semester. Job prospects vary, and it depends to some extent what field you do your MPH in, but mostly how you apply yourself...I think everyone's experiences with this are probably anecdotal.

Why does "take" make sense? Are you stealing the test?

Hahaha. I'm not sure that made any sense, but thanks for the help? I think this has more to do with semantics and differences in American and Canadian English than whether English was my first language or not.

I am interested in Global Health Epidemiology and Public Policy.

And thanks for the help, ffpickle. I assume you've finished or are in the process of getting an MPH degree?
