I'm taking physics and general chem during the spring and want to pick up some good textbooks to read until then. Do you guys have any recommendations of a great source book or step-by-step guide for Marketing majors like myself?

It'll be a waste of time. You barely ever even get through half a whole textbook in an intro to physics or chem class.

I would suggest brushing up on gr 12 chem/physics. See what the state you are residing in gives to its gr12 students and do those courses over. Everything builds off that.. and to be honest, it all gets repeated in univ.

Really? I was actually thinking of getting a "basic" physics book anyways because sadly I had little to no experience with it even in high school. If you're like myself and are foreign to these classes what would you do? Hire a tutor at this point? I'd like to be pro-active in some way so I don't find out I'm screwed.

How are you going to take University Chem/Physics without Gr.12 Chem/Physics. Don't schools require you to have completed those classes in High school?

You need to complete the prereqs, which is algebra for physics and chemistry at my school.

There were no pre-req's for general chem or physics at my college. I didn't even have to take them in high school.

With that being said, I did just fine even though it was all foreign. I agree with Contach and just take it easy until then.
