HELPP Here are my stats! What are my chances?

Can somebody let me know if applying to any of these schools is a waste of my time? I looked online to see if they have DAT cutoffs, but I couldn't find anything and figured I'd ask some of you guys on here. I know my scores aren't horrible, but I'm also fully aware that some schools have DAT cutoffs.

NYU
Penn
Boston School of Dental Medicine

GPA: 3.97
AA: 21
TS: 21
Ochem: 23
Gchem: 19
Bio: 22
PAT: 15
QR: 19
Reading: 21

I also did Rutgers Gateway to Dentistry Program and am the founder of the Pre-Dental Club at my school. I hope that all my hard work won't be a waste of time.

I doubt they will overlook the PAT, especially with your other scores.... but its hard to say! Let's see if anyone has experience with similar scores.

Yea your sore for PAT is BAD, Call the schools that you are applying to, like today, and ask if this one BAD score will make you a weed.....

that was a joke,,,..... you kno like..... the " weed out process", taking out the bad....

but nice scores, overall, don't worry, i say 75-85% chance of getting accepted with those score, and applying to schools who will not focus on that one flaw.

ughhh you scared me 🙁 idk i just wanted to know if anyone knows FOR A FACT if any of the schools listed do have a cutoff...

yea school have cut offs, aka accepted ranges...... Get the adea handbook for $10 dollars......

don't be scared..... there is nothing scary of 21 overall average , be confident....

strategically choose your schools, get the handbook.

I don't know if this helps but here are my DAT scores: AA(21) TS(21) Bio(24) Gchem(17) Ochem(25) PAT(21) RC(23) QR(16). My GPA was a 3.56 overall with 3.45 Science.

I've gotten 2 interviews already this cycle. I only applied to schools I personally called and felt they would still consider me a strong applicant with a low QR and Gchem score. Hope that helps.

Also not all cutoffs are set in stone Temple was super cool about my low scores when I spoke to them so I would still call even some of those schools.

Some schools don't care much about the PAT like NOVA, but others do. I doubt NYU would care when your other scores are solid.

Thanks so much. Yeah I called Rutgers and they said they don't have cutoffs. Rather, they consider the overall application. No one else has answered lol. I appreciate it. Good luck!
