MSKCC rejection. I recieved a confirmation for IV date from Uni Louisville KY

When is ur interview @ Louisville..........I have it down for Feb 24

No IV or Rej. They put me to 2nd or 3rd round? Should I call them?

+Sloan Kettering today

Waiting:
Hopkins

I called USC and they said I am in second tire/ wait listed. I am not sure by calling, it made any difference to my application status. If just the reassurance that they haven't rejected is good enough, calling is good. I have counted it as rejection though.

Called. Was told my appl has not been reviewed yet.

hey Y'all

Applied mostly in the south..Has anyone heard from emory or vandy yet..??

Athena🙂

Dana-Farber/Partners rejection today 🙁

Congrats Cherry...Yixa, I think calling helps one feel better but has minimal impact on whether one gets an intevriew or not

USC also told me I was in their second tier by e-mail. I had asked them to let me know whether they would offer an interview as I would be in the area for another interview. I honestly do have one...one at UCLA, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. I can understand their position.

Has anyone heard about life as a fellow at Stanford or UCLA. A friend told me at UCLA they are not happy. Can anyone debunk this?

More than half of the programs I applied have not shown any response, based on forums or emails. I called several programs yesterday. Was told they are still reviewing or will review appls. Hope everyone will get want he/she wants.:xf:😎

To add to others:

Interviews:
NCI
GWU (current resident)
UCLA
Stanford

Rejected:
UCSD
DF
UW Seattle

I think UCLA is probably the only new one from having read through the threads.

I found this link on NRMP Data.

http://www.nrmp.org/data/resultsanddatasms2010.pdf

It has plenty of data in table and graphical form on the number of spots filled/unfilled, number of those who applied, who actually matched/unmatched, quota by program and specialty, etc.

It appears in 2010 there were 700 applicants, 435 matched, 265 unmatched. In percentages: 36.9% got their 1st choice, 9.3% their second, 6.6% their 3rd, 9.4% received greater than 3rd choice, 7.3% matched into another specialty (weird), and 30.6% remained unmatched. There were 10 programs unfilled status with 14 positions total unfilled.

In 2010 449 positions were offered with 52.1% filled U.S. Allopathic residents and 96.9% all applicants, which seems pretty steady since 2006.

Not sure if that's helpful, but there it is.😀

Beginning of a new week. Hopefully some good news coming along in the next few days!

I am in the same boat. Replied that day and haven't heard back.

it looks like there was a large percentage of non-match last year. What is the interview number you guys think safe?

Rejection from cornell

" Should you so choose, you are welcome to apply again in December
for the 2013-2016 fellowship program..."

Isn't that mean?;S

I haven't e-mailed them to schedule yet - waiting for one more to see if I can consolidate some into fewer trips...plus they have tons of dates, so plenty of options.
