Do you believe I have a good shot at a DPT program somewhere?

Big 12 school: Undergraduate Degree: Finance GPA 3.52
Big 12 school: MBA: GPA 3.45
Science pre-reqs: GPA 3.82
New GRE: 293 (low) 🙁
Current observation: 28hrs
Current observation Aim: 125 hrs.

Yes, your stats make you certainly capable of getting in somewhere.
However, some schools are way more competitive than others. In one school you may be able to get in with a 3.2, while another usually only accepts a minimum of 3.7. Overall, the average accepted GPA of all schools is around a 3.47 I think.
Then of course you have all the other requirements, such as LOR's, essay, last-60 credits, PT observation in 3+ areas, etc.

I appreciate the response.

I would like to goto Oklahoma University but they receive 262 applicants and only take the top 62 based on GPA and GRE. I talked to a few people and they seem to not care as much about the observation hours.

From your response, it seems like you are worrried about getting into oklahoma due to it's competitiveness.... Some schools receive thousands of apps and only take 50 (Temple for one). 262 apps and taking 62 are really really good odds. With your stats, you definitely have a chance. your stats are good and I would re-take the GRE if they only lookat GPA and GRE. Also do some research and see if there are other schools that you have a chance of getting into. I would advise you to not just apply to one school.

I agree. My state school gets ~400 applications and accepts ~28-30.

Also, no matter how sure you are about that school, I recommend applying to other places as well. Nothing is a guarantee, and you may have to take a year off if you don't get in right away.

Do most universities take into consideration a masters degree or do they only focus on GRE and undergraduate GPA?

if they are a PTCAS program, your grad and undergrad GPA get lumped in. So if you did poorly in undergrad but did really well in grad school, then your grad GPA will pull up the poor undergrad GPA. If thye aren't a PTCAS program, then you would have to call and ask the program specifically. Many programs will take into account the entire application, not just the GRE and GPA. you will need to find out which programs do that by calling them.

Do not forget though that of the 262 applicants, chances are a good portion of the 262 will not meet the minimum qualifications or will not even be considered because they did not turn in everything they needed for the application. So that narrows it down even more for you. A lot of schools I have seen that post the number of applicants they receive and the number that are actually qualified of that pool on their websites, a lot of the time up to 1/2 of the applications are not looked at due to what was said in my first sentence. I saw on one of the school's websites that 370 applications were received for this cycle, and only 165 of the 370 were qualified. That is similar to the stats I have seen on a lot of other school websites as well.
262 is pretty low for the number of applicants in comparison to a lot of other pt schools so I think that will increase your chances of getting accepted, assuming that the number of applicants does not increase exponentially in the next cycles. Your GPA is good. If you can, I would retake the GRE though if you think you do not have a good chance of getting in. I would apply to more than just one school though to improve your odds.

This is one of the best ratios I've seen, especially when you take into account the elimination of applicants not meeting minimum standards AND the fact that schools over-accept in order to fill their available # of seats.

I've heard claims that schools sometimes have to accept TWICE as many people as they have available seats in order to fill the class, although I only know that via hearsay.

Just playing around with numbers, let's say only 150 of those applicants meet minimum qualifications and they have to accept 90 students in order to get 62 to attend. 60% odds of acceptance if you're qualified right away!
