So I take my DAT on June 1 and I'm pretty well, ready to get it over with but nervous for the chem/orgo sections.
I'm following dentalworks 8 week plan and I'm in the process of working out the destoryer/cdp for this month.
I'm also re-reading and going through chem and orgo in the KBB and I came across this problem:

Its in the Thermochemistry section review problem 4.

I set up the problem as such :
I know you don't have to convert C to K because the differences are the same but I did anyway just to keep SI units similar.
q1 = 10g(.5cal/gK)(15K) (going from -15C to 0C (or 258K to 273K))
q2 = 10g(80cal/g) (phase change from ice to water (fusion))
q3 = 10g(1cal/gk)(100K) (going from 0C to 100C)
q4 = 10g(540cal/g) (phase change from water to steam (vaporization))
q5 = 10g(.5cal/gK)(10K) (going from 100C to 110C)

the answers i got were
q1 = 75 cal
q2 = 800 cal
q3 = 1000 cal
q4 = 1080 cal
q5 = 50 cal
qtotal = 3005 cal

the correct answer is C 7.325kcal

I read the answer description and it also set the problem up the same way. Am I just not seeing something? or is this a typo?

thanks SDN.
