would it look bad if i got a c+ in physiology lab ):
then i got a (b) in molecular biology(a) in anatomy b in physiology lecture, and a (b+ in organic chem 2 and lab? i took all these at the same time.

should i just leave the physiology lab alone or retake it? and get an (a)?

That's not a horrible semester. It could be better, but I'm not sure a drop looks any better than the C+. What are the rest of your grades like?

mostly b's. it could be better as to what? better lab grade? how many courses did you take in post bachelors?

I took a **** ton of courses in post-bac, but that's because I had to, and I had to do really well in all of them too. I took 80+ hours, and did about a 3.4 over that time. I started with a 2.2 GPA though, so I really needed to go the extra mile.

I'd say you're probably fine. How much more do you have left? Have you taken the MCAT yet?

i will also retake gen chem 1 i got a c in it. bummer oh well

I got C's in gen-chem II, physics II, and a virology lab course. A's in almost everything else, post-bac. I think I got maybe 4 B's, and the rest A's.

One thing I found is that, as I started to take more and more bio, the easier it got. A lot of the advanced stuff is really easy to understand if you get the basics down rock-solid. So if you're looking for more stuff to take, I'd pile on a bunch of bio and biochem.

next semester im taking embryo, immuno, biochem, and advanced topics.

Yeah, I agree with you here. I thought upper div bio was going to be a ball buster, but I actually enjoy the classes.

Same. I'm not sure if I was just more immune when I finally hit upper divs, or that I enjoyed the material more (because it was FINALLY the stuff I chose to major in, not pre-med math and physics), but I enjoy the upper divs as well.

And to the OP. Don't sweat it. Grades can always 'be better,' but I don't think that semester is going to break ya either way ... and I would not recommend dropping the lab. C+ > W in my opinion. Best case scenerio an adcom ignores a W, worse case scenerio they assume you dropped because you were not going to pass (which clearly is not the case for you).

I agree with you thanks.👍

I agree with what everyone else is saying, stay the course and take the C+. To me, I feel that a lab (which usually is 1 or 2 credits anyway) isnt worth the time for me to take twice. It isnt the end of the world and shouldnt cause any problems to your gpa overall

i wasn't going to drop it. i was gonna take it over. but now i agree with everyone i will move on. thanks for all the replies!!
its only one freaking unit.

I think you should be ok. I had quite a few C's and some of those were pre-reqs and I got in. Just make sure you have good EC's and a decent MCAT and keep above a 3.0

what ec's would you recommend. im shadowing a gp right now. should i try to shadow a DO?

ABSOLUTELY, they want to see that you have spent time and seen what a DO does and that you understand 'what' a DO is. I think that it is a necessary and vital part of the process.
