GAH Chemistry is SO much more interesting!! I can't wait until this semester is over and it's all Science classes from here! Calculus is really confusing... 😱

It isnt that bad, but dont think you'll be done with calculus for life... You're going to have to deal with dosage curves and half-lifes etc as a pharmacist.

I feel your pain. We just started derivatives in my Calculus class today.

Yeah...I get a little excited when the practice problems in calc deal with drugs...even though I don't understand completely. I'm HOPING to get a good grip on it. I've been putting a LOT of extra work in...going to the Math Lab and my dad is tutoring me (he is an engineer). I want to understand...I just didn't realize back in the day when I was taking precalc and algebra (or any math class for that matter) that I would ever EVER need it again...I didn't know I wanted to be a pharmacist then. :::singing::: If only I had known...

good news is that my dad said I have a better grip on it than he thought...maybe there is hope afterall. 🙂

Um...do you go to Kennesaw?????????????

Acworth/Statesboro? You spread far distances...lol...do you go to GA Southern?

i passed calc with a 98 so if you need any help, just post the questions.

Oh darn...I was hoping you were around here. 🙂

calc 2 is sooo much harder than calc 1 just to let you know so be prepared for it if your school requires it! i cried a lot when i took that class. I ended up with a b cuz the teacher was such an ass. it was a jc but he teaches like hes at an ivy league.

...and calc III is even more fun. Ugh, I really hope I don't forget everything before I take the PCAT.

Teaches like an ivy league? Isn't that a good thing? You paid for JC and received ivy league. Just because a class is taught at a JC doesn't mean the students should get some grade school, go at your own pace teaching style. If you are taking a college course, you should be expected to know the material.

Kennesaw State student here.

well yeah i learned a lot from him but he is really hard and my grade suffered because of him. Its mostly his style of grading. You either get all the steps right or you get zero. its all or nothing so you can't get partial credit for the steps you do know. with calculus 2, most problems have 10 or more steps to complete and this guy takes 4 points out a 7 point problem for making like mistake on one step even if the rest is correct. thats like an F right there. By midterm time people were either getting Ds or Fs or getting As. There wasn't like any Cs or Bs. I was borderline A/B but at the end I ended up getting B so I'm still bitter for that since I have already taken this class before which is why i know his style of grading is so unfair compared to other caluculus teachers. I would have gotten A if i retook the same teacher that I dropped. Trust me he's like no other teacher.

even though calc II is harder than Calc I...i did much better in calcII...the reason mainly because of the professor....i did alot of studying for calc I and ended up with a C and i got an A in calc II ....professors are the key to good grades( in my opinion) 🙂
