I am wondering how admissions committee members consider your high school record? I was expelled from a private boarding school for drinking and I don't know where it would fit, or if I should include it, in my application. I'm afraid that they will see my sudden change in high schools on my resume and ask for the reason (I think they will be more likely to ask because I am a US citizen who grew up in Asia and upon dismissal from high school I went back home for one year of high school, only to come back to the US for university). If I only wait until the interview to talk about it when they ask me I feel that I might appear dishonest. How will adcom members think of this?
Should I directly tell them (on paper, in the interview?) or completely avoid talking about it? Should I also do the same with asking for letters from my recommenders?
My GPA has always been good, 3.7 in high school, 3.9 in a top 25 university, could do more ECs, yet to take the MCAT

Thanks

They won't ask and don't bring it up.

No one will ask about your high school years. As long as there were no legal consequences that will show up on a background check, your past experience won't effect your application.

The only programs that will look at high school records are post-bacc programs.
None of mine did. Typically what happens in high school, stays in high school. Except SAT scores! Some will want to know that for their own giddy pleasure.

Oddly enough, in an interview I had to literally go through detailed analysis of every year of high school for some reason, and I was really pushing to get to college stuff. It was a laid back interview, I guess he was just trying to get a feel for where I was coming from. Don't worry though, I'm sure you can explain that you've matured since the six or so years that the incident occurred.

In some interviews, they MAY ask for your rank in high school.. thats it!

I had to tell a school my SAT scores.. lol
