Hi, on High Yield Immunology page 19, it says that I14 mediates the B cell switch to IgE production, and it also says (further down the page) that the binding of IgE to Il-S activated eosinophils results in elimination of parasitic helminths. Could someone explain me what are these I14 and I1S thingies?

thanks for your help

I believe they are referring to Interleukin 4 which induces B cells to class witch to IgE production. However, I don't know what Il-s is, anyone?

"I1-S" is IL-5. It activates Eos. The OP likely has a "not quite legal" version of HY Immuno, and a lot of those online/electronic versions get some wacky formatting.
