hello everyone I m a newbie as a pharmacist

Does anyone know how long does it usually take for the HR in the hospital to make an offer?
I have been told by the HR that they are waiting for benefit (determining my benefit for the position?)
Generally speaking How long was the wait between interview and official offers?

Thanks,

I've typically received offers about a week after the interview. The quickest was a job offer on the spot and a phone call a few hours later with the official offer.

Thank you for the reply
Even hospital can turn around this quick?

If it's a VA hospital, could take up to 3 months.
The VA amazes me. I'm sure @lord999 has some great stories to tell in that regard. Moving people from one facility to another was a huge headache, especially when it came to hiring a replacement.

Same day turnaround, even 1 - 2 day turnaround seems like the exception rather than the rule. I would say 3 - 5 days minimum. The holdout, at least at my current employer, is that 1st human resources screens the applicants and gives them to the director. After s/he has decided who s/he wants, s/he has to tell human resources who then have the final say in OK'ing his/her choice (I think they run background checks or possibly call references), so this is the rate limiting step and depends on human resources.
