Erm...I mean molecular biologists. ;)

Hi all,

I hope this is the correct place to ask this question. I have an M.S. in molecular biology and I currently work in a laboratory that does research related to cancer. I bought a book on cancer biology which I am going through in my spare time, but I can't seem to make heads nor tails of the histology figures. Can anyone recommend a very basic text for someone who has never taken an anatomy or histology class? How do you guys make sense out of all the little dots?

Thanks. :)

I like this website:

http://www.siumed.edu/~dking2/index.htm

I'm just a first-year med student, though, so maybe the pros around here can tell you (and me!) if this is a decent site. looks good to me, though.

You could also buy a histology atlas with pictures and descriptions and arrows and stuff. I think looking at as many slides as you can (as well as critically thinking about what you're looking at) is the best approach.

I don't know if outside users are able to access it, but my school has some online path slides. They're not annotated, though (ie arrows pointing to salient features).
