Happy New Year y'all!
Does anyone know the easiest/quickest way of finding what the homolog of a protein is e.g. if I know of a mammalian protein and I'm trying to find what its homolog in yeast, S. sereviseae, is.
Its quite trivial to work in the opposite direction (ie. if you have your S. cerevisieae gene and you are trying to find homologs in other organisms) because of the yeast genome website. However I don't know of similar websites for other organisms.

Thanks.
