Honors on AMCAS

Hey fam,

So for the AMCAS activities thing there is a selection for "Honors/Awards/Recognitions" should I just list everything under there or separate my honors into multiple catagories?
I have PBK, Dean's list, Summa, a couple departmental awards, a couple other major-specific honor societies and I am Salutatorian of my year. Should I just lump those all into one?

I've seen people bullet point their awards/honors like the one's you've listed. You can also ask questions in the sticky forms of work/activity thread.

List everything under 1 "activity", with a short blurb explaining the lesser-known awards/societies if needed. You should not list them separately across multiple categories -- that will be a huge waste of the limited AMCAS space you have!

Yes. Feel free to skip Dean's list if you're short on space, since your transcript speaks for itself.

If we list all of our honors under one activity, what should we put as the date received?

If we list all of our honors under one activity, what should we put as the date received?

By the day of graduation, or the last known date of reception of any honor.

The college Registrar is a good Contact to use, as they have a record of everything.
