Should we include all merit-based scholarships received when asked to provide honors and awards received during college??

LizzyM, can you help?

I think you should and if its not nationally recognized, describe it very briefly

That's a good question, I'm wondering the same thing. As of right now, I'm including them since I did win them throughout college, but if I hear otherwise I guess I'll remove them.

Here's my 2 cents

If it's a scholarship everyone and their mom got (something that's given out a lot), then it probably won't have much of an effect

If it's something only a few people got or is presigious, definitely list it and make note of its importance.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to list it even if you're in the first case, but don't let it take up an entire activity if you need the space. Personally, I listed all my awards under one activity and described them as needed.

Thanks, I am listing them, but TMDSAS doesn't give generous space to descrie them, so I am leaving that out....just the names take up almost all the space. I hate those "limited to 6 lines and 80 characters per line" spaces...
