Case load is great - with an emphasis on complex pediatric cases and less emphasis on bread and butter cases (although this is done too). The overall vibe is positive, and fellows all appear happy. Hopkins is overall a very academic place and the peds anesthesia division is no exception... many faculty in the peds anesthesia division have serious research projects going on - and they're all happy to have fellow or resident involvement. Some people are iffy on Baltimore as a city, which may be a deciding point... but I personally love Baltimore. Call at Hopkins is frequent yet reasonable, and residents are on call with the fellows to help and learn. All of the fellows have excellent job prospects.
